Huskerzone.com – Still Bleeding Husker Red
Hi, I’m Shawn. I used to run HuskerZone.com back in the early days of Husker blogging (and blogging in general), alongside a few other fans, including BugEater.
We were one of the first Husker blogs on the scene, and even got a shoutout in Twitter’s early days from @ev (Twitter co-founder and Nebraska native) for live-tweeting Husker games. Fun fact: he had to tweak Twitter’s usage limits because we overloaded the system during a nail-biter.
Another fun fact, when Nebraska left the Big 12 for the Big Ten, we were interviewed by the New York Times. It was a wild ride.
While I haven’t blogged about the Huskers in a while, I’ve kept the domain alive to make sure it never ends up in the wrong hands for nefarious purposes.
